Early morning ride

I'm not sure what's worse, the prickly pear of south Texas or the poison oak of the west coast.
AHH, this is better.

My training partner in the early morning light....aint she purty?

Headed out the door early this morning, hoping to beat the stronger winds that were supposed to hit later today. Well, they were early! Out of the 46 miles I rode today, I had a head or cross wind for 1/2 the ride. Considering there are no big hills down here, the wind acts as a good "simulator". In order to get to the trails, I ride back roads and canals 17 miles, do a 11 mile loop on the above trail set and head back. I had to chuckle when my ipod started playing my Lynyrd Skynyrd favorite "The Breeze" ,with the line "they call me the breeze, I keep rollin' down the road". It was real fitting for the ride this morning.
