Wise words from a roadie, wiser ones from me

We flew out to Sacto. last Thursday, which I used as a rest day. So Friday morning I wanted to get in a nice little spin to keep the legs fresh for Saturdays ball buster. So I rode the American River Parkway a bit taking in the sights along the river and such. About an hour in, I came up to pass a guy, maybe early 50's riding his nice road bike. "Your not going to pass me on that thing are you?" he asks. I was very well mannered and held my tongue, "It's really not as bad it looks sir" I said, as I continued to ramble on by.........what an @#$hole !
