Road Recon

After the debacle out at the trails yesterday, it was back to the road early this morning.....again. Still need some more dry weather and some trail maintenance to make them ridable. I think I took samples of most soil and vegetation varieties to keep me satisfied for some time.
There wasn't any wind (weird) so I headed NW. Haven't been that way in a long time.

It got mighty lonely out there for a while. I was seeing some serious Texas wide open spaces.

Then I saw some friends (well, not really, I was just messin' around with the camera) I think the look he gave me was " stupid mtn biker taken' pictures". He did smile though.

A little South Texas weed eating. Like that rope would have held that heifer.

I think I hear a country song comin' on .
Finished up midday, just as it was really beginning to heat up. Day 3 with no rain......YES!

Are there any hills down yonder?

No Steve, that pic of the wide open range tells it all. On a 3+ hr ride I get less than 1000ft elev. gain. A little different than Trans-Lewiston, huh?
