Fall

The smells, the air just cool enough to make ye ol' nose run, I love Fall. In particular the colors. It is by far my favorite. So I took advantage of the cool air and headed out the door at 4:45am this morning. You see, there were going to be some guys from the shop and some customers meeting at 5:30am to do a little group thang. Me being the "on time " kind of guy, was at the shop early......so I waited, and waited, "a little more just in case they were running late" I said to myself. It is not cool to get stood up for a ride this early. Nobody showed up. So off I pedaled, taking in the sights through the darkness and streetlights by my lonesome. Very few cars, fewer red lights to slow the heart rate and let the lactate acid take over the legs. The Valley is fairly quiet at this time of morning. A random dog barking as I roll through quiet neighborhoods break the silence,at least they're not chasing me, which is a very good thing. Back to the house before the sun broke the horizon. Hot cup of coffee greets me as I prepare for my day. It always tastes better when it's cool in the morning, with the smells of .........Fall.
