There have been some additions to my cycling recently that should help me improve. First it was the use of a road bike for training. Now, I'd like to introduce my newest addition, Coach Sara. Sara was recommended to me by my friend Steve from Visenka. I talked to her last week a bit and starting this week, I'm under her guidance. I forwarded my last months worth of training and racing data and with the volume I've had, she immediately backed me off this week. I'll increase the intensity though, with the idea of helping my top end speed.
What I liked the best about Sara? Well, she trains in a flat area of the country as I do, and this year has managed to win the BC Bike Race with her teammate Kelli Emmit from Giant and recently placed 3rd at La Ruta. Add to the fact that she is a USAC certified cycling coach and has a Masters degree in Physiology, I think I made the absolute right choice.
I'm looking forward to what comes at me in 2009.

Please! We don't need more bad news.
The fastest rider wants to get faster. hahaha
I think you made a good choice for a coach.
She's a good one. She'll also put down more food than you.
