The wknd saw myself and the Fam. head over to Houston for my nieces wedding. Hauled the road bike over with me and rode for 3 hrs Sat., it's windy over there too. Put in a good ride though, a lot of tempo.
Got back home in time yesterday to head out for another 3 hr jaunt. headed west to Jarachina Rd/La Joya. On the way out, ran into John, who is visiting from Chi-town. We proceeded to tear up the road out and back. Pretty much riding tempo all day. Of course, the winds back down here in the valley didn't disappoint, so it was even more pleasant.
Less than 2 weeks to Cohutta. I need to change my tires and put some new Stans sealant in. Still using the Maxxis setup that has been treating me well. A few little adjustments, but nothing major. I keep the rig pretty much ready to roll at all times.
Another Cohutta fun fact: The race starts in Tennessee, but we make our way down into Georgia for a while before heading back. One big loop, all mountain roads/trails. I'm starting to get excited now!
