Prepping

While taking to my buddy Scott last night and making plans for the Wilderness 101 on Aug 1st, he mentioned hitting up the Eureka Springs Fat Tire Festival mid July up in Arkansas. Flights are relatively cheap, and they're paying out for the short track and the XC. Which means if I bust my tail up there I could break even(probably not, but Marci is bought in on the idea).
Marathon Nats are just around the corner(july 4th) and the logistics are getting all ironed out. Best of all, Mike Padgett will be there during the race to hand off bottles at aid 2 and 3(is what I'm thinking). My team director, Marci , will do the hand offs at aid 4. Aid 1 will be up to me. It's going to be super important to stay hydrated at elevation, 9500 ft +, so I'll likely go through about 8 bottles in 50 miles.
One last shake down of the Anthem Sat. for a couple hours and she gets packed up for the trip.
Looking at the forecast, the high Temps. in Breckenridge are going to be lower than our coolest temps down here.....and dry air.
I'll try to enjoy myself the best I can.

Yeah, the temps might be in the high 60's....but it will feel about 10 degrees warmer due to how intense the sun is at that elevation. See you there!
