Moving to Texas has given me the opportunity to absorb myself in what I love to do....ride bikes and be involved in the industry. It all started with Schteve being gracious enough to bring me on his Visenka team(thanks Steve). Knowing I'm training and racing for a purpose is a good for the psyche when the surroundings are less than ideal.
I started working in the local bike shops, currently at a shop where they are working me afternoons so I can continue to train............very cool.
This is where the extra motivation comes in. Now that I'm working, some folks down here are thinking that my training is going to lack, even commenting that I won't be as successful as I was prior to starting at BW. What they don't know is that this is the kind of stuff that drives me. I like to call it determination my friends, to get up at 6am, out the door by 7am, get in a good 3-4 hour ride on most days and still be able to keep the house together is not easy. I do it because I love it. Is it painful sometimes? Hell freakin' yes, but what else would I be doing down here? So thank you to those who are doubting my abilities............see you on the trails, I know I'll be there.
