......little hard to get to. Only available in summer months, and bring your sleeping bag. The views are unbelievable though. This is an old fire lookout up in Sis-q county. It's not being used for it's intended purpose anymore, so the forest service now rents it out in the summer months.
It sets at about 7-8,000 ft in elevation and has a front row seat view of Castle Crags.
Another week of training almost complete. Easy 1hr today with some short bursts to zap the legs to life. Racing the 6hr race down in Brownsville tomorrow and actually looking forward to a "local" race for a change, which means sleeping in my own bed pre and post race.....very cool. Eddie Supercrew will be working the feedzone for me once again, I have won every race this season with Ed at the helm, which is good news for me and bad news for others. He already has a plan to try a new handout technique, which should work great.

i used to rent a cabin every nov. on my bday in leakey texas for a week and train in the hills... those were fun days!!! alone in the texas hill country...
