Back on the bike this week after a brief break, trails were dried up enough Tuesday to ride, which was nice. Wednesday brought more rains, so I've been back on the road all week. I've been riding with Jim from Michigan. He's a pretty strong roadie so it keeps me pushing hard to stay at his pace. We did an hour of intervals Wed. then back to back 50+ milers Thurs. and Fri. I was glad to get in just a 30 miler today as my legs are a bit tired.
No racing scheduled until late Oct., which will take me back down to Monterrey, MX area for another one of their national marathon races. Should be another 80k or so.
Off the bike, I took in the Carlos Santana concert Tues. with my better 1/2. He was incredible. I've always enjoyed his music, but to see the legend in the flesh.......priceless. I mean, this guy played at Woodstock back in the day.
